Turf can be laid all year round providing the ground conditions are appropriate. Although spring is the best time of year due the mild, sunny weather – you can lay turf at any time of year as long, as the ground is not frozen or covered with snow.
This varies on the time of year and the aftercare of the turf. As a general rule turf takes about 2 weeks to root, you can check this by turning a corner up and you will see the root growth (it’s advisable to check more than one as this can vary), once the corners can no longer be turned it should be at a point at which you can mow and use.
Resist the temptation to make the initial cut until your new lawn has rooted. For the first mowing, set the lawn mower to its highest setting to avoid scalping the grass. Mow regularly, each time removing no more than one-third of the grass height. When the lawn is fully established, the height of the cut can be reduced gradually to an optimum height of between 15mm and 35mm.

Efflorescence occurs when water-soluble salts within concrete migrate to the surface and react with carbon dioxide to form calcium carbonate. This substance remains visible on the surface of the hardscape products like pavers, slabs and walls in the form of a white haze. It may be visible during the initial installation, but can also appear later, seemingly at random. It is not unusual for efflorescence to appear up to 24 months after the manufacturing date. While it is unsightly, it does not mean the pavers are of poor quality. There is currently no manufacturing process that can eliminate it.
